BB Celebrity: The man behind "Chak de Phatte" Dhruv Dhalla |
Music has been used in Indian cinema to portray all sorts of emotion that scriptwriters have been unable to pen in dialogues. From “sizzling” item numbers to promotional videos starring lead actors, song and dance sequences have also been used to excite audience interest. The songs that catch on are played so often that we can almost always visualize the video, with the actors prancing around, the moment they are put on. We can however almost never identify the singer, lyricist or music composer. The Indian film industry fails to credit the guys behind the scenes.
Dhruv Dhalla is an upcoming music director in the Mumbai Film Industry. Though he might not have worked for too many movies, he has managed to make his mark with songs like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and Chak de Phatte! This young man from Delhi started his music career in his school band, played with Euphoria for two years and is now finding his footing in the big bad world of Bollywood.
Radio Noida caught up with him recently. Click below to listen to his interview.
