Despite the constant debate about pollution, global warming and environment change, not many actually do something about it. Plant an Idea was our small initiative to contribute to the cause and we are proud to say we made a difference. The overwhelming response to the competition, wherein students from across Delhi contemplated the issue is our proof. It was reassuring to see the creativity of these young minds and their level of awareness on the above issues. We would like to thank Campfire, the publishing house that so generously agreed to support and sponsor Plant an Idea, Prayas for conducting the competition and IYCN for their guidance. We would also like to thank all the students for their time and effort to participate in the competition and the schools and teachers who encouraged them to do so.
The results for Plant an Idea have been declared and we would like to congratulate Cauvery Nair from Gyan Bharti School, Prashant Anantharam from AIS Saket and S.Siddharth from AIS Sector 46 Gurgaon. (For further details with regards to the competition please check the Plant an Idea page by clicking on the above banner.)
With the success of one event, it is now time to move on to the next. Environ ’09, to be held on 6th June 2009 is being organized by AIESEC in Delhi IIT and will be panel discussion on Green Technology and the opportunities for youth in the environmental sector. We are happy to collaborate with them as the official online partner. Further information on Environ ’09 will up soon so keep an eye out for it.
