Somewhere between the Garhwal Hills of Uttaranchal, lies the Valley of Flowers. A mystical and magical place that is yet safe from the perils of civilization, it is literally heaven on earth. Legends from the Ramayan associate this valley with the place where Hanuman collected herbs called 'Sanjeevani' to revive Lakshman. The valley was introduced to the modern world when a mountaineer by the same of Frank S. Smith camped there for several weeks during the monsoon of 1937 and titled his book on his explorations as "The Valley of Flowers". A trek through the place would be nothing short of a delight. Isha undertook that very adventure and has pictures to prove it.
