BB Suggests: Winter Fashion Trends '09 |
To help you achieve that perfect look this party season, BatchBuzz presents the key clothing trends of winter 2009.
Over the Knee Boots - These are the must have item. Those daring enough will experiment with boots that creep higher up to their thighs. From elegant suede to dark, wound and bound leather, there are many ways for you to go.
Capes, Capelets and Cloaks - The cape seems to have become a fashion staple. This season again we hope to see more mini capelets, long cloaks and full capes.
Leather Clothing - Leather is no longer limited to jackets. Leather shorts, skirts, pants, dresses and leggings are all over the place and very exciting!
The Female Dandy - Feminized menswear is also very big this season. Bow blouses, ruffles, jodhpurs, tailored waistcoats, brooches and fobs are perfect for that sexy yet masculine look. However, Regency styling is essential.
Chunky Knits - The chunkiest of chunky knits are perfect for keeping you warm and fabulous this season. Try open weave knits for a little skin show.
Ripped Tights and Stockings - A step towards a new grunge trend, the ripped stocking is a concept similar to ripped denims… which by the way is also back in style.
See-Through Clothing - Generally, revealing ensembles are a part of spring/summer collections… something people blame on the weather. This winter however, skin is very in!
Military Fashion - Similar to the female dandy look, military cuts and styles, whether feminized or rocked up is bound to get you some accolades.
The one look you must avoid is Double Denim. Jeans with a denim jacket is so over!
