- Golden Dragon -(The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower) – Having undergone a makeover after the 26/11 attacks, this restaurant reopened with a completely new and delicious menu. The breathtaking view of the Gateway of India adds to the charm of the place. Semi formal attire is recommended when you visit the places voted as the Best Chinese Restaurant in Mumbai.
China House (The Grand Hyatt) – The ambience of China House is exceptional. The entrance to the restaurant opens into a garden area where one can dine in pagodas surrounded by bamboo plants. The main dining area comprises of four private rooms, each distinctly different from the other, a wine library, a bar that offers a variety of Chinese teas, semi-private booths and an exclusive chef's table where diners can indulge in the splendor of the diverse cuisine. China House literally offers guest the spirit of China under its all-embracing roof.
Indiana Jones - -(The Hilton Towers) – This is the place to be if high-end dining in stylish surroundings is what you're looking for. It's perfect for business meetings and serves cuisines from across Asia – China, Thailand, Japan and Korea.
Spices (J.W. Marriot) – Apart from authentic Chinese, this restaurant serves Thai, Japanese, Teppanyaki and Sushi. It is however, open only for dinner. The seating arrangement is extremely comfortable and the service is undoubtedly unmatched.
Royal China - (Fort) – This ever bustling restaurant has some of the best dim sums in Mumbai. Though plainly decorated, Royal China embodies an elegant nothingness which is reminiscent of its counterparts in London.
Mainland China – With branches in Haji Ali, Bandra, Powai and Lokhandwala, the largest chain of fine dining Chinese restaurants in the country has to have something about it to justify its growth! Interestingly, while doing our research, we could only find good reviews by the locals.
Lings Pavilion Pavilion (Colaba) – Once the most talked about Chinese restaurant in Mumbai, Lings Pavilion serves what can be called Indian Chinese and has its own, very loyal, clientele. It remains very popular amongst the locals and it is wise to ask to waiter for suggestions as many of the best dishes are not on the menu. Simple and old school is the best way to describe this place.
Pan Asian - Asian (ITC Grand Maratha) – As the name suggests, this restaurant serves cuisines from all over Asia. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Burmese and Korean – It's all available here and it's all authentic. With great service, amazing cocktails and of course great food, the Sunday brunch here is a must go!

China Garden - – The first China Garden opened in 1984 at Om Chambers in Kemps Corner, downtown Mumbai. It was frequented by politicos, industrialists, consulates, bollywood glitterati and many others. This place has been a favourite amongst the Gandhis, Ambanis, Bachchans, Kapoors and pretty much everyone who is on whose who list of Mumbai. In the words of it's founder, “Till China Garden came along, the only classy restraints were located within five star hotels. Mine was the first to offer the same ambience and superior food and lower prices.”
